ABOUT

Blasta is a bistro hosted in the Bays Community Centre. Jack and Eilidh’s first restaurant in Harris with a neighbourhood vibe, great music, long tables, pasta, lobster and cider. Food you, and we, love to eat.

We're sourcing as many of our ingredients from Harris and Lewis as possible, including our seafood and greens, which means our menu is going to change each week too. We'll post the weekly menu here on our website as well as our Facebook and Instagram pages so give us a follow and pop by when you see something Blasta!

FAQ

Can I make a booking? We’ve decided not to use a booking system. However, if you're travelling far or would like to come for a special occasion, please email us and we'll gladly reserve seats for you. We look forward to welcoming you!

What payment options do you have? We gladly accept card and contactless payments, and you can also pay with cash if you have the exact amount. Please note that we don't have a cash register, so we won't be able to provide change. Thank you for understanding!

What’s to drink? There will be tap water on the table and we have a selection of wine, beer, cider and soft drinks.

What if I have an allergy? Please let us know about any dietary requirements when you arrive. Keep in mind that our pasta is usually made with eggs and wheat flour and we handle shellfish in the kitchen. Due to our small team and set up, we are unable to cater for any specific allergies or dietary requirements at this time but there will always be vegetarian dishes available and we may have vegan and gluten-free dishes available from time to time. Thank you for understanding!

Do you have a children’s menu? We welcome children to dine with us and while we don’t have a specific children’s menu, we hope that our younger customers will find something they like on the regular menu! There is baby-changing available and we have one high-chair for use.

Can I bring my dog? Dogs are not allowed inside the community centre but we do have two picnic tables outside where you are welcome to enjoy our take-away menu there.
